You Probably Didn’t Know This About Putty

Let's take a few minutes to focus on Putty! This little goodie is a super soothing, super nourishing moisturizer for dry and irritated skin.

About Putty

Putty is formulated with cocoa butter, turmeric, colloidal oatmealhemp seed oil and other superfood ingredients that help calm the skin and reduce inflammation.

Putty really is the ultimate skin soother!

Now, if you’ve followed Graydon Skincare for a while, you probably picked up on the fact that I love creating multipurpose products.

It’s true.

From our 2-in-1 Face Food Mineral Mist (this baby can be used as a toner or hydrating facial mist) to our true multitasker, All Over Soap, I’ve always focused on creating products with intention.

And of course, the same thing goes for Putty

More than a face cream

This gem is so much more than a facial moisturizer. It's true. I'm going to share some not-so-secret uses for Putty.

Face mask

One of my favourite things to do with Putty is use it as a face mask.

“Whaaaaat? Graydon, what are you talking about?”

I know, I know. It seems like a crazy idea, but trust me. Here's how to deeply nourish your skin and reinforce your skin barrier with Putty

Step 1: Cleanse your face.

Step 2: Dry your skin. Don’t dry it completely, though. Keep it slightly damp. This will help your skin absorb products better.

Step 3: Apply a thick layer of Putty to your face.

Step 4: Cover your face with a wet muslin mask or cloth.

Step 5: Lie down for 1020 minutes. I like to use this time to put on some calming music and meditate. This is the perfect opportunity to relax your body and mind.

Step 6: Wipe the mask off using a Bamboo Charcoal Sponge and continue with your skincare routine.

That’s it! A Putty face mask is a super simple way to give your skin the extra dose of nutrients it needs when it's feeling a bit irritated.

Hand and body cream

Yeah, it says "face cream" on the bottle but don't let that stop you from using this soothing moisturizer all over your body.

One of our Graydon Skincare team members swears by Putty as a hand cream. Here's what she told me:

"I wash my hands a lot, so they're always super dry, especially in the winter. I'm talking tight feeling, red, flaking and cracking. I apply Putty to my hands before bed and when I wake up in the morning, not only do my hands look better, they feel better."

I absolutely love hearing that!

Putty isn't just great for dry winter skin, it's a must have for summer too. That's right, Putty is great for moisturizing and soothing the skin after a sunburn. The colloidal oatmeal, turmeric and chamomile all work together to calm inflammation while the cocoa butter helps hydrate the skin.

Final words

Putty is a nourishing moisturizer, packed with superfood ingredients that help calm and soothe irritated skin.

But don't be fooled by the label, Putty is so much more than a face cream. Give these other uses for Putty a try. Your skin will thank you.
