One of our Products was Featured on a Super Prestigious List!

One of our moisturizers was recently featured by The Detox Market! Keep reading to learn about this must-have skincare product!

I recently learned that The Detox Market featured our Phyto Clear moisturizer in one of their newsletters!

Now, this is quite a big deal for me because The Detox Market is an awesome retail partner of ours that I have the utmost respect for. With store locations in both Canada and the U.S., this curator of the best in green beauty meticulously combs through thousands of products, so that you can feel safe and confident in your choices.

So as you can imagine, being featured by such a conscientious company means a lot to me! And I thought I'd take this opportunity to dive deeper into the powerhouse ingredients found in Phyto Clear and what makes them so great. Hey, there’s a reason why this product ended up on The Detox Market’s super prestigious list 😉

Bakuchiol + Moth Bean Extract

These are two of the best ingredients we use in our formulations to help your skin age as well as possible.

Bakuchiol and moth bean extract are touted as the natural alternatives to the all-star ingredient - retinol. The reason is simple. They offer all of the benefits of conventional retinol, such as stimulating collagen production, increasing cellular turnover, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, targeting acne, and reducing hyperpigmentation. The best part? While the use of conventional retinol often comes with drawbacks like dry skin, bakuchiol and moth bean extract don't

Broccoli Seed Oil

Broccoli seeds contain an organic sulfur compound called sulforaphane. This compound may help to regulate the enzymes that protect your skin against UV damage. This oil works at the cellular level to help reduce skin redness and inflammation.

Could this superhero ingredient have a superpower?! You bet! Broccoli seed oil contains healthy fats, including linoleic acid, which helps to promote ceramide synthesis. And as I’ve previously mentioned, ceramides are an important component of skin barrier function. So by adding this ingredient to your routine, you’re also helping to protect and strengthen your skin.

Chlorella

This superfood is packed with nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fibre, and omega-3 fatty acids.

When applied topically, chlorella has a twofold effect on how your skin ages. For one, it helps your skin to produce more collagen. More collagen means plumper and smoother skin. Secondly, it can help to stop the break down of the existing collagen in your skin. It really is an incredible ingredient!

Squalane Oil

Squalane is a highly nourishing, non-comedogenic oil. This means it won’t clog your pores. And clear pores are happy, acne-free pores!

Squalane is full of antioxidants to help your skin fight against damaging free radicals. Plus, it absorbs readily into the skin, since its structure is similar to the sebum naturally produced by our skin. If your skin is on the oily side, you’ll be happy to know that squalane doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It does an excellent job of locking in moisture as well. What’s not to love?

So there you have it!

If you’re looking to elevate your skincare routine and give your skin the love and care it deserves, then add Phyto Clear to your routine. You won’t regret it!
