Parsley
Parsley is rich in rosmarinic acid, and many aromatherapists credit parsley seed oil with having antimicrobial, antiseptic, anti-rheumatic and more properties. It is also known to slow the spread of broken capillaries and reduce their appearances.
Sage
Sage is known to ease swelling, relieve pain, heal wounds & infections, and assist with skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis. In aromatherapy, sage is good for its antibiotic, antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal qualities, which help heal the skin and scalp, balance sebum production, and cleanse clogged hair follicles! It’s even been found effective in treating hair loss and defending against dandruff.
Rosemary
The essential oil of Rosemary stimulates cell renewal thus improving the texture of dry skin. With its rosmarinic acid it can help clear acne, blemishes and dull skin by fighting off bacteria and regulating oil. It improves circulation and helps people overcome mental fatigue/sluggishness, all while enhancing mental clarity.
Thyme
Thyme is believed to have antiseptic qualities due to the high content of rosmarinic acid. It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory and it can help treat bronchitis, rheumatism, viral infections and sinusitis. Plus, it’s shown that thyme is more effective than benzoyl peroxide in killing bacteria that causes acne.
Lemon
Lemons, originally native to India, essential oil is extracted from the peel. It has been shown that it helps your mood and is effective against certain strains of bacteria. With its protective antioxidant properties, it’s known to brighten and preserve your skin tone.
Moringa Tea
Moringa leaves contain over 90 nutrients including amino acids, minerals, and vitamins. They’re also rich in antioxidants and contain anti-inflammatory properties. When used topically it can help restore natural lipids in your skin.
Blue Majik Tea
Blue Majik Tea is rich in minerals and protein-building amino acids. This blue-green algae is high in phycocyanin and vitamins, which help slow down visible signs of ageing and improve the firmness and texture of your skin.
White Tea
Camellia sinensis plant’s leaves contain catechins, which is the antioxidant portion of tea. When the young leaves of white tea are left unprocessed or steamed immediately they have a higher antioxidant value.
Recipe
- Soak the herbs in water for 4-8 hours (parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme). Once soaked, add 3/4 cup of moringa tea, 1/2 cup of Blue Majik® tea, and one squeeze of fresh lemon.
Optional: Make ice cubes with the soaked herbs and/or white tea to add to your drink.
