Blood Orange

  • Blood Orange is considered to have antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic and aphrodisiac properties. Its scent is uplifting and stimulating!

Blue Tansy

  • Blue Tansy is deep blue in appearance, and smells like a sweet fruit, with a hint of apple and herbal notes. This essential oil is noted for its powerful anti-histamine properties, and may be used to counter allergic reactions such as rashes and itches. It's an excellent choice to soothe bruises, wounds and to calm one’s skin, especially when over exposed to over to urban city life (like pollution) and the elements (too much sun/wind).

  • Chamomile is a flowering herb which contains several chemical constituents known to quell inflammation, offering your skin a very soothing effect, helpful in healing eruptions and rashes.

Clary Sage 

  • Clary sage, also known as Salvia sclarea, is a plant native to the northern Mediterranean Basin. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. The addition of clary sage essential oil also helps to regulate sebum production.

  • Eucalyptus is said to be analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antineuralgic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral and astringent. Valued in treating the respiratory system, it kills up to 70% of staphylococci bacteria. It is also a good remedy for indolent wounds and ulcers.

  • Essential oil of geranium is aptly used to help in the treatment of acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, poor circulation, menstrual problems, stress and neuralgia. Seasonal bugs do not tend to enjoy the smell of it either!

  • The helichrysum plant grows wild in the Mediterranean. The essential oil from its flowers are credited by aromatherapists as being effective for acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, irritated skin and wounds. It is said to support the body through post-viral fatigue and convalescence, and can also be used to repair skin damaged by psoriasis, eczema or ulceration. Helichrysum is also believed to soothe away deep emotional stress and destructive feelings. Helichrysum has been used since the time of the ancient Greeks for its great wound healing ability, and was used often after battles.

  • Juniper Berry essential oil is a popular purifying and clearing treatment for oily skin and blocked pores. Its berries come from small bushy shrubs generally grown in the Himalayan region.

  • Lemons are the fruit of small thorny evergreen trees, originally native to India. They became popular in Europe in the middle ages. Lemon essential oil is extracted from the peel of lemons using a process that pricks and rotates the peel as oil is released. Studies have shown that lemon essential oil is mood-improving and also effective against certain strains of bacteria. It also has protective antioxidant properties known to brighten and preserve your skin tone.

  • Known for its invigorating and antiseptic properties, lemongrass shares similar properties with citronella (without the unappealing smell!) and has a great reputation for keeping insects away. Furthermore, it is an excellent anti-depressant, and helps to fortify the nervous system.

Litsea Cubeba

  • Known for its antibacterial properties that help protect against infection. This sweet citrus smelling essential oil is also potent with antioxidants that help renew your skin.

  • Nutmeg comes from the evergreen tree which produces a fleshy red fruit. The seeds of this fruit produce its essential oil, which is very helpful as a treatment in poor circulation and rheumatism. It is a dynamic addition in aromatherapy blends, adding warmth, spice and stimulation.

  • Rich in rosmarinic acid, aromatherapists credit the essential oil of parsley seed with having anti-microbial, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, astringent and diuretic properties.   • Most people associate peppermint with being a flavoring or scenting agent in products where it has a cooling effect. This is largely due to its high menthol content.   • Pink Grapefruit is a detoxification agent which can help to reduce congestion and tone the skin. Reputed to ease nervous exhaustion, it's both energizing and uplifting. And it smells really yummy too!

  • Derived from orange blossoms, neroli is a beautiful oil known for its fragrance and therapeutic properties. Well known for its effectiveness in helping the skin regenerate it can help prevent scarring as well as regulate oiliness. When used regularly it can reduce the appearance of fragile or broken capillaries and varicose veins.

  • On a physical level, the essential oil of rosemary stimulates cell renewal thereby improving the texture of dry/mature skin.
  • Rich in rosmarinic acid it can also help clear acne, blemishes or dull dry skin by fighting bacteria and regulating oil secretions.   • Rich in rosmarinic acid sage is reputed to ease swelling, relieve pain caused by rheumatism, heal wounds, infections and assist with skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis. In aromatherapy sage is a known for its antibiotic, anti-septic, antibacterial and anti-fungal qualities, all of which help to heal the skin and scalp, balance sebum production, and even cleanse clogged hair follicles. Even more importantly, it contains phyto-sterol called beta-sitosterol (a 5-alpha reductase compound) that has been found effective in treating hair loss. When used preemptively, sage is also thought to defend against dandruff. Sage also aids in improving circulation to the scalp, providing more nutrition to the hair follicles and encouraging new hair growth.

  • Brought to Europe by the Arabs in the 1st Century, sweet orange essential oil smells delicious and has been known to combat colds and uplift stress.

    • Thyme is believed to have antiseptic qualities largely due to its high content of rosmarinic acid offering a wonderful ability to treat ailments such as bronchitis, rheumatism, viral infections and sinusitis. As a powerful anti-inflammatory, studies have shown that thyme is more effective than benzoyl peroxide in killing Propionibacterium acne (bacteria that causes acne).
