What is Phenethyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol & Propanediol

What is Phenethyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, and Propanediol? 

Phenethyl alcohol and propanediol are all-natural preservatives derived from non-GMO corn. They have antimicrobial functions against bacteria, fungi, yeast, and mold and will help boost efficacy against fungi and bacteria respectively.​ 

Pentylene Glycol is an all-natural preservative derived from non-GMO sugar cane and corn cobs. It has antimicrobial functions against bacteria and yeast.​   

Researched Benefits of Phenethyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, & Propanediol as a  Preservative 

Research has been conducted on 50 subjects with Phenethyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, and  Propanediol as a preservative in skin cream. Results found no dermal irritation or sensitization with a repeated insult patch test. Figure 18 shows its effectiveness against mixed bacteria and fungi.
