Here’s How You Can Get Zoom-Ready Skin In Under 5 Minutes

Working from home can be a bit of a challenge. I’m sure many of you would agree with that.

Look, I’m not against waking up at 12 PM and starting work at 1 PM in a comfortable bathrobe (totally not guilty of this 🤭). But sometimes, you just need to look more put together. Especially during those dreadful Zoom calls where you can’t pretend that your camera has broken for the 50th time. 

Because I've been working from home since last year (although it feels like it’s been a lifetime), I’ve come up with a simple beauty routine to look more presentable on camera. And since so many of you are also currently WFH, I thought you might appreciate this. 

So here’s my 3-step beauty routine to get Zoom-ready skin in under 5 minutes:

Step 1: Double cleanse (2 minutes)

I’ve always said this, and I’m gonna say it again: Cleansing 👏  is 👏  the  foundation 👏  of 👏  a 👏  good 👏  skincare routine. Excuse the hand clapping, but I really want to drive home the importance of a good cleansing routine. 

Look.

After a long, hard day, your pores accumulate dirt, sweat, oil, dead skin cells, and sometimes even makeup. Improperly cleansing your skin is a recipe for disaster. Think acne and dull-looking skin. 

This is why I’m such a huge advocate for the double cleanse method. Here’s how it works.

For the first step, cleanse your skin with an oil cleanser, a balm cleanser, or a milk cleanser to gently break down all the makeup, dirt, sweat, and oil on your skin. We recommend our gentle, yet effective Aloe Milk Cleanser, which contains a melange of aloe vera, black tea and niacinamide (vitamin B3) to soothe your skin.

For the next step, use another cleanser of your choice to wash away any remaining impurities. A foaming cleanser like our Face Foam is a great option, as it’s made with a synergistic blend of natural BHA, bamboo extract and azelaic acid to even and brighten your complexion and strengthen your skin.

Step 2: Make a skin smoothie (30 seconds)

Layering skincare products? That’s so 2000-and-late. We don’t do that here.

Instead, I’m all about listening to my skin’s daily needs and mixing and matching products to tailor to those needs. The result? The perfect skin smoothie that your skin will love, every time.

I mean, think about it.

We don’t always have 30 - 60 seconds to wait for a product to absorb into our skin. Especially if your skincare routine consists of multiple serums and creams. Waiting around is just time-consuming and tedious. And when you’re scrambling to get ready for that last-minute Zoom meeting? Good luck...

So how do you make one? 🧐

If you’re an all-or-nothing kinda gal like me, then you should definitely give the Hydration Explosion Skin Smoothie recipe a try. You’ll need 3 drops of Fullmoon Serum, 3 drops of Superfood Serum, 1 pump of Phyto Clear cream, 1 pump of Berry Rich cream, and 1 spritz of Face Food toner mist. 

Dispense these products into the palm of your hand and mix evenly. Then apply the ‘smoothie’ all over your face and neck using the effleurage technique for glowing skin. It’s that simple!

Step 3: Prime (1 minute)

No, not Amazon Prime! 

I’m talking about priming your face to even out your complexion and cover up any blemishes you may have. This is the final step of this routine, so let’s go out with a bang!
