Spritz Your Way to Stunning Skin: 6 Ways to Use Face Food

There are so many ways you can use Face Food–that’s how jam packed it is with effective, multifunctional, and gentle ingredients. Here's how to make the most out of this multitasker and leave your skin looking radiant and healthy.

We usually think of skincare as a set of routines, done in the morning or before bed. But what happens when your skin needs support throughout the day? Skin dehydration, pollution, irritation, or hot flashes…you name it! They can all happen at any point in the day, and having a quick fix can be the difference between a healthy, dewy day-long glow and tired skin that’s begging for a pick me up by the time your bedtime routine rolls around.

What’s the solution when a mid-day skincare pitstop is needed? My answer: a facial mist. Specifically, a multifunctional one like Face Food Mineral Mist.

Face Food isn’t just a hydrating spray or just a toning mist—it’s a skin savior designed to combat everything from dryness to irritation, no matter when it strikes. Whether through a quick spritz in the middle of the day or as part of your daily skincare routine, there’s a ton of ways you can use Face Food to support your skin.

You might be surprised how many benefits are packed into one bottle 😉

6 Ways to Use Face Food

After Cleansing to Prep Skin

Face Food comes packed with a number of toning ingredients that even skin texture and remove excess oil. The white tea leaf extract and the zinc in Face Food’s formula mattify your skin. Magnesium soothes and balances your complexion. Plus, even as it tones, Face Food won’t dry out your skin like some traditional, astringent toners since it’s an alcohol-free formula.

The white tea leaf extract and the zinc in Face Food’s formula mattify your skin.

To use Face Food as a toner, we recommend applying after cleansing, but before a serum and/or moisturizer. Grab a cotton pad or a reusable alternative and apply two spritzes of Face Food. Then, sweep the pad across your face, neck, and chest. You can also just spritz directly onto your skin.

During Hot Days, Hot Flashes, and Sweaty Workouts to Cool and Soothe

Many of our customers say they love using Face Food to cool down flushed skin, making it a favourite after the gym, in the summer, and during hot flashes. When you overheat, your skin becomes red and inflamed, so Face Food has a number of soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients in its formula, including zinc (yep, this ingredient is a multitasker!) and magnesium.

One of our favourite tips for Face Food is to pop it in the fridge so every spritz is extra cooling. I personally use this tip all the time. It’s a well-loved ritual of mine to use my cold Face Food as a wake-me-up first thing in the morning.

I love seeing people use Face Food in multiple ways. Here’s reviewer Cindy J. on how she uses Face Food daily and for hot flashes: “I can't say enough about Face Food Mineral Mist! I started using it when I was having hot flashes and it helped so much. It is cooling and so refreshing. I use it every day, morning and before bed, and sometimes during the day for a refresh.”

On Mid-Day Skin Dryness to Hydrate and Plump

We mostly think of skincare as something that happens during an AM or PM routine. But skin often needs a pick-me-up throughout the day, especially when it comes to hydration. How many times have you been stuck in a dry building or outside on a cold day only to find your skin is parched afterwards?

Face Food gives you a burst of hydration whenever you need it because it’s a water-based formula (made from white tea). It also contains propanediol, which is a natural, sustainable humectant that attracts moisture into the skin. The malachite in Face Food reduces moisture loss throughout the day.

It’s also a bonus that it’s a lot easier to spritz on while you’re out and about than putting on a moisturizer, which forces you to either find a place to wash your hands and apply or *shudders* apply with dirty hands.

To Give You an Aromatherapy-Style Mental Boost

If you look at the reviews for Face Food, a lot of people mention the scent. It makes my heart happy to see people loving it because this product was designed with aromatherapy in mind!

Vanilla and peppermint extracts combine with a light fruity scent and notes of rose for a fresh, spa-like smell that won’t overpower your senses. When you think of aromatherapy, you probably think of essential oils. We opted to use extracts instead because we know peppermint essential oil can sensitize the skin (while the extract actually offers skin benefits).

Revitalize and improve your mental function while soothing tension in your mind and body.

In aromatherapy, peppermint is known to revitalize you and improve your mental function, while vanilla soothes tension in your mind and body. It leaves you feeling alert and awake without overwhelming. For skin, vanilla fruit extract is filled with antioxidants that rejuvenate skin and peppermint extract is anti-inflammatory and soothing.

While Doing Your Makeup for a Flawless Finish

Doing your makeup is a multistep process, but you want the end result to look immaculately blended. A tip you might have heard before is to spritz your face in between steps–especially for liquid or cream products–to “melt” everything together seamlessly.

Face Food is a perfect choice for this. It helps you get that airbrushed look without being so wet that it washes away/smears all your hard work. It’s also great to take with you to rehydrate your makeup throughout the day. If it starts to look dry or cakey, Face Food will freshen it up.

On Days You Brave Pollution and Environmental Stressors

Face Food creates a defensive shield for your skin made of minerals like copper, zinc, and malachite that protect you from pollution and oxidative damage. Malachite is a particularly powerful anti-pollution ingredient because it's an antioxidant (due to its high copper content) that detoxifies your skin without irritation.

Here’s what one of our customers shared about Face Food’s protective qualities:

“I absolutely love this face mist...I'm already on my second bottle. Since I live in a city, it is very important for me to protect my skin against pollution & stressors. I LOVE how it's made with minerals and it smells amazing. I spray my face in the morning and night...it is my favorite part of my skin care ritual!” –Sarah C.

Our Motto: Spray All Day, Everyday

I’ll let you in on a secret. I’m just like Sarah… Face Food is a fave of mine to put on. There’s just something so luxurious and indulgent about a facial mist. When you pair that good feeling with a versatile product that offers so many benefits? Well, you get Face Food.

I’m proud of this mighty bottle and the multifunctional, natural, and powerful ingredients inside. And I have a feeling it will look great on you 💆‍♀️

P.S. We always include two free samples with every order–it’s our way of saying thank you for loving your skin.
