If you're anything like me you're probably finding this colder weather is wreaking havoc on your face too. I'm not a big makeup fan so it really bugs me to feel like I have to put foundation on to cover up my red nose from being outside in the wind.
I like to create an 'UnMakeUp' look so our Face Glow is my holy grail for this but sometimes I want more of a polished look so I like a dusting of loose foundation powder - especially on my nose.
This 'foundation' is easy to make, featuring ingredients right from your pantry. And the best news is that it works!
This homemade Natural Powder Foundation is all you need where you can really customize based on your own skin. Creating your own foundation is definitely a true experiment because you get to try and test different colors that actually work for you without harming your skin. So if you are looking to opt out of those expensive and heavy foundation, you can finally create your very own natural powder foundation that is built for you and you alone. Don’t waste any more time and money- get started!
1. Arrowroot powder or cornstarch
2. Cocoa powder
5. French green clay or wheat grass powder
6. Bentonite clay
Directions: In a small bowl add around 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Depending on the color of your skin, start mixing in small amounts of the other ingredients until you get your perfect match. To figure out if you matched your skin tone just dip your finger in the powder, rub on the back of your hand, and go outside to see if it blends. If it doesn’t then add more ingredients and try again. Place in a clean jar.
To use: Gently tap your foundation brush in loose powder, tap off any extra powder back into the jar, and apply in a circular motion, just like any loose powder foundation.
