Say Goodbye to Adrenal Fatigue

The lead up to the holiday season is an exhausting time so if you're tired in the first place this hectic time of year may actually take you over the edge into experiencing adrenal fatigue.

The good news is that there are some food combinations you can eat which really help to re-energize and give your body the boost it needs to carry on - even when you feel like taking a nap!  

This mousse is packed with healthy fats and vitamin C which are known to alleviate adrenal fatigue.

The coconut cream and the avocado nourish your body with their healthy fats, working to help absorb fat soluble vitamins. The mango adds the vitamin C you might be lacking, and the chia seed topping brings an added omega-3 punch.

It's a staple around our Riverdale office and makes for a terrific breakfast, lunch, snack, dessert. In fact, this recipe is so darn satisfying that we haven't even had the craving to eat ice cream in months.

The extra bonus is that when you feel good, you're gonna look good, so your skin will thank you too!

Layered Mango Avocado Mousse 
Serves: 2

Mango Mousse 
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 3 tablespoons coconut cream

Avocado Mousse

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 3 tablespoons coconut cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons agave (optional - if you're serving this as dessert)
  • Chia seeds, for garnish
  • Zest of one lime, for garnish 


  • In high speed blender or food processor, add all ingredients for Mango Mousse.  Blend or pulse until smooth.  Place in fridge to set for 2-3 hours.
  • After the 2-3 hours have passed, add all ingredients for Avocado Mousse into clean blender or processor.  Blend until smooth. 
  • In glass container of your choice, layer the mango mousse and avocado mousse, as pictured.
  • Sprinkle with chia seeds and lime zest. Chill until time to serve.
